How "Dates with Dogs" Works

"Dates with Dogs" is a casual, laid-back event designed for dog lovers to connect in a fun and relaxed environment. Whether you have a dog or simply love dogs, this event is perfect for meeting new people and enjoying the company of furry friends. Here’s how it works:

  1. Registration:

    • Pre-Event Sign-Up: Participants register for the event online or at designated locations. Registration includes basic details and, if applicable, information about your dog such as breed, age, and temperament.

    • Open to Dog Lovers: Dogs are welcome but not mandatory. Participants must be dog lovers, ensuring everyone enjoys the presence of dogs.

  2. Arrival and Check-In:

    • Check-In: Upon arrival, participants check in at the registration desk to confirm their attendance and receive any event materials such as name tags for themselves and their dogs (if applicable).

    • Leash Requirement: All dogs must be on a leash no longer than 1.8 meters (6 feet) at all times.

  3. Casual Atmosphere:

    • Laid-Back Environment: The event is set up to be informal and relaxed, encouraging participants to mingle and interact naturally.

  4. Activities and Socialising:

    • Free-Flowing Social Time: There are no rigid schedules. Participants can freely walk around, chat with others, and enjoy the event at their own pace.

  5. Owner Interaction:

    • Casual Conversations: Owners and dog lovers are encouraged to strike up conversations and share experiences.

  6. Dog Conduct:

    • Friendly Behavior: Dogs must be friendly and well-socialised. Aggressive behavior is not tolerated, and owners of such dogs may be asked to leave.

    • House Training: Dogs must be fully house-trained. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets, with waste disposal bags and bins provided at the venue.

  7. Safety and Health:

    • Owners certify their dog's health status during registration.

    • Supervision: Dogs must never be left unattended. Owners are responsible for their pets at all times.

  8. Waiver and Liability:

    • Waiver of Liability: Participants agree to waive any claims against the venue, Empower Haus, and their affiliates for any injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur to themselves, their dog, or their property. Owners acknowledge responsibility for any damages or injuries caused by their dog.

  9. Exchange of Personal Details:

    • Participant Initiative: Attendees who wish to exchange details with someone they meet must take note of the participant's name and number from their name tag.

    • Filter for Comfort: Empower Haus does not encourage attendees to hand out their personal details directly and will act as a filter to ensure both parties are comfortable and in agreement.

    • Email Follow-Up: On completion of the event, Empower Haus will send all attendees an email on whom they wish to connect with. Empower Haus will facilitate this exchange, ensuring correct information and mutual agreement is provided.

    • Not Every Connection is a Match: If a participant does not agree to exchange details, please don't take this as rejection. Just know you weren't compatible, and there is someone else out there for you. We aren't for everyone, but the right person is out there, and you are one step closer to finding them.

    • Email Notification: If both parties agree to exchange information, Empower Haus will notify both parties via email, facilitating the exchange of contact details.

Terms and Conditions for our Dog-Friendly Events

Welcome to our Dates with Dogs event hosted by Empower Haus!

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees and their furry companions, we kindly ask that you adhere to the following terms and conditions:

  1. One Dog Per Booking:

    • Each booking is permitted to bring one dog. Multiple dogs per single booking are not allowed.

  2. Leash Requirement:

    • All dogs must be on a leash at all times while on the event premises. Retractable leashes are not permitted for safety reasons. Leashes must be no longer than 1.8 meters/6 feet.

  3. Dog Behavior:

    • Dogs must be friendly, well-socialised, and comfortable around other dogs and people. Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated, and owners of aggressive dogs will be asked to leave the event immediately without a refund.

  4. House Training:

    • All dogs must be fully house-trained. Owners are responsible for promptly cleaning up after their dogs. Waste disposal bags will be provided at designated stations.

  5. Supervision:

    • Dogs must never be left unattended. Owners must keep their dogs under close supervision at all times.

  6. Health:

    • By attending, owners certify that their dog is free from contagious diseases and parasites.

  7. Owner Responsibility:

    • Owners are fully responsible for their dogs' actions and behavior. Any damage to property or injury caused by a dog will be the owner's responsibility.

  8. Bringing Your Pet at Your Own Risk:

    • While we strive to create a safe environment, owners bring their dogs at their own risk. The venue and Empower Haus are not liable for any injury or illness that may occur to dogs or owners during the event.

  9. Event Conduct:

    • Owners must ensure their dogs do not cause disturbances or disruptions to other attendees. This includes excessive barking, jumping, or other unruly behavior.

  10. Removal from Event:

    • The venue and Empower Haus reserve the right to remove any dog and owner from the event if these terms and conditions are not followed or if the dog's behavior is deemed unsuitable.

  11. Waiver of Liability:

    • By attending this event, owners agree to waive any claims against the venue, Empower Haus, and their affiliates, employees, or agents for any injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur to themselves, their dog, or their property. Owners acknowledge that they are solely responsible for any damages or injuries caused by their dog, and the venue and Empower Haus will not be held liable for any such incidents.

By attending the event, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions and acknowledge that failure to do so may result in being asked to leave the event without a refund.
